Our south-facing chalets, Chouette, Blanc and Arfang, have a nice view on the Chartreuse summit, Le Chamechaude. They offer a sleeping possibility for 4/5 persons with a 30m² area plus a mezzanine and a 15 m² terrace.
The designs of the chalets were inspired by the traditional sheperd’s huts found in the local mountains. Built by local carpenters, and assembled by our own team, the frame construction is made of local wood from the Chartreuse Mountains. The materials and wood treatment that we use are environment-friendly and healthy:
–Wood wool insulation,
-Furniture care and treatment with boron salt and hard oil,
-The exterior siding is made of wood from Douglas fir trees, a naturally resistant species. We let this wood go grey throughout the seasons for it will blend in with its surroundings of other old wooden buildings near the campsite,
-The interior siding is made of heat-treated spruce,
-The unique kitchen and bathroom furniture, tables, wardrobes, and bunk beds are custom-made.
